The ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard, which will replace the OHSAS 18001 Standard, was published in English on 12-13 March 2018. For ISO 45001: 2018, a transition period of 3 years as of the date of publication, the transformation will be made through the OHSAS 18001 system. ISO 45001 is designed to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases and to provide safe and healthy work environments. ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard will provide a serious gain in preventing occupational accidents and preventing occupational diseases, which have a great burden on businesses.

The ISO 45001 standard creates a framework for businesses around the world in order to reduce their workplace risks, increase employee safety and create more reliable working conditions, and includes requirements to reduce the burden on them.

It follows system approaches such as ISO 9001 quality management system and ISO 14001 Environmental management system, which are accepted worldwide. The main structure of ISO 45001 was established in accordance with the Annex SL structure, which was put into practice with the latest revisions and consists of 10 items.
