WHAT IS ISO / TS 16949?
With this standard, multiple certification audits have been eliminated and a general approach has been provided to the quality management system of automotive production and related parts and service organizations. The global automotive industry requires being on the same level as the best in the world in terms of product quality, efficiency and competitiveness, as well as continuous improvement. To achieve this goal, many vehicle manufacturers insist that their suppliers comply with the rigorous technical specifications specified in the quality management standard known as ISO / TS 16949: 2002. In fact, for most major vehicle manufacturers, certification of this standard is a mandatory requirement to be able to do business.
The ISO / TS 16949 Quality Management System Standard in the Automotive Sector is to ensure that the quality systems of the manufacturers in the automotive industry and its subsidiaries producing spare parts for these organizations are constantly improved, emphasize error prevention and prevent changes and losses in the supply chain, and this aims to ensure the continuity of understanding. Prepared in line with ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.
In addition to being evaluated as a highly effective system in the understanding of Total Quality Management, ISO / TS 16949 has an effective application feature with the principle of continuous improvement in quality techniques, business plans, shipment, price and business administration.
ISO / TS 16949 can be applied by any automotive supplier company that offers services such as production materials, production or service parts, heat treatment, painting, coating, polishing, small manufacturers in the automotive industry to multinational organizations spread across a wide geography. The organization can obtain the ISO / TS 16949 certificate when it meets the requirements of this standard. Certification for many vehicle manufacturers is a mandatory requirement that is internationally recognized and helps to do business anywhere in the world. For suppliers working with different vehicle manufacturers, EAQF eliminates the need for multiple certification, such as the QS-9000, and prevents duplication in second and third party inspections through preparation and documentation processes. This standard has been recognized by FORD GM, CHRYSLER BMW, PEUGEOT CİTROEN, AUDİ MERCEDES BENZ, GME OPEL FIAT, BOSCH RENAULT, VOLKSWAGEN.
